COMMUNICATING WITH PURPOSE
INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS ON PRESENTING, PERSUADING, AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
The Problem: Much of our success in life and in work depends upon being able to successfully communication our ideas to others, yet many organizations still struggle in this area. Indeed, one of the foremost developmental areas in the business world is communication. From digital media presentations to interpersonal interactions, many within the business world struggle to consistently share their ideas in a powerful and convincing manner.
The Solution: By teaching the theories, concepts, and strategies that help us make better and more purposeful choices in all forms of business communication, PLC's Communicating with Purpose programs move beyond mere technical training and enable participants to communicate better in both formal and informal settings. As a result, participants leave the programs able to continue their development in these various areas, improving their communication skills as they continue to implement the principles and strategies learned in the workshops.
COMMUNICATING WITH PURPOSE PROGRAMS DISTINGUISH THEMSELVES IN THREE WAYS
PURPOSE AND FOCUS
While many communication programs tend to focus mostly on the technical skills involved in communication, presentation, and composition, we dig into the concepts and principles behind the technical, design, content, and delivery choices one must make to communicate effectively and persuasively. As such, participants leave with knowledge of how to continue to adapt their skills to new contexts and tasks.
Our training is highly interactive. Because we strongly believe that people learn best by doing, we fill our workshops with interactive exercises that allow attendees to immediately put new knowledge to practical use. No dull lectures. Ever. Click the link below to learn more about why we teach the way we do.
Our workshop leaders are professors, published scholars, and celebrated teachers in the field of rhetoric and communication, highly skilled in the art of persuasion, with teaching/training experience ranging from top educational institutions like Stanford University to Brown. Each facilitator is an expert on the material being taught.
